Drying equipment used for manufacturing API, fine chemicals and intermediates

A drying equipment is a plant used in chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries that allows to dry wet powders and dense cakes coming from filtration and centrifuge processes.
A drying equipment is normally coupled with a vacuum pump that permits to intake and extract solvents vapours and water present in the products to be dried.

There are different types of drying equipment.

Italvacuum, a private limited company established in 1939, besides industrial vacuum pumps, designs and manufactures static dryers with cabinet shape and rotary dryers. These last ones can be both bi-conical and cylindrical.

The drying equipment with double cone shape represents the bottonhole of the Italvacuum technology. The drying equipment with cylindrical shape, in Italvacuum named TUMBLE Dryer, is mainly used for drying, mixing and condensing operations in the manufacture of granulated plastic materials.

The approach to innovation that has always characterized Italvacuum drying technology has recently brought to the launch of a new drying equipment: the Planex System, patented horizontal paddle vacuum dryer. Thanks to the eccentric agitator with two independent movements, the Planex System represents the drying equipment with the highest technological content present on the market.
