In chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries the drying process is aimed at extracting solvents from wet cakes coming from filtration and centrifuge. The drying process is normally combined with the use of a vacuum pump, which allows the extraction of the humidity contained in the products to be dried.
Italvacuum, private limited company founded in 1939, has a well-established experience in the drying process, having designed and manufactured vacuum dryers and industrial vacuum pumps since the beginning of its history.

Concerning equipments for the drying process, Italvacuum manufactures both cabinet and rotary dryers. The last ones can be both double cone and cylindrical.
The double cone vacuum dryers, in Italvacuum called CRIOX System, represent the buttonhole of the equipments aimed at the drying process manufactured by the Italian company. Equipped with electric lump-breaker groups, these dryers have achieved a great success with an international reach: more than 400 units installed from their introduction on the market up to date.
The vacuum dryers with cylindrical shape, in Italvacuum named TUMBLE Dryer, are designed mainly for drying processes, mixing and condensing operations in the manufacture of granulated plastic materials.
Italvacuum has always been devoted to the optimization of its range of dryers. Several devices for loading and unloading the CRIOX System and for cleaning the tray dryers have been developed in the course of time. Recently, the approach to innovation in the drying process that has always characterized the Italvacuum equipments has led to the launch of a brand-new vacuum dryer: the Planex System, patented horizontal paddle vacuum dryer. Thanks to the technical solutions adopted, among which the eccentric agitator with two independent movements, the Planex System today represents the most advanced plant aimed at the drying process available on the market.

In addition, given the importance of welding to end product quality, Italvacuum has certified its processes and personnel to ISO 3834-2.
