A proven experience in the drying technology

In the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries the drying technology is employed to dry the wet  cakes coming from filtration and centrifuge. For this purpose the drying technology is always combined with the use of vacuum pumps, which allow the extraction of the vapours of solvents and the water contained in the products to be dried.

Italvacuum, private limited company founded in 1939, boasts a well-established experience in the drying technology, having designed and manufactured vacuum dryers and industrial vacuum pumps since the beginning of its history.

The Italvacuum vacuum pumps, as well as in the vacuum drying processes, are used also in the distillation, reaction and crystallization processes.

Concerning the drying technology, Italvacuummanufactures dryers both static and rotary. The last ones can be both double cone and cylindrical.

The double cone vacuum dryers, called CRIOX System, represent the pride of the Italvacuum drying technology. Equipped with lump-breaker groups in order to obtain fine powders, they have achieved a success with an international reach: more than 400 units manufactured from their introduction on the market up to date.

The vacuum dryers with a cylindrical shape, called TUMBLE Dryer, are designed mainly for drying processes, mixing and condensing granulated plastic materials.

Italvacuum, apart from the ongoing improvement of the vacuum pump, has always been devoted to the optimization of its range of dryers. For this reason several devices for the laoding and the unloading of the CRIOX System and for the cleaning of the tray dryers have been developed in the course of time. Recently, the approach to innovation which has always characterized the Italvacuum drying technology has led to the launch of a brand-new vacuum dryer: the Planex System, a patented horizontal paddle vacuum dryer. Thanks to the technical solutions adopted, among which the eccentric agitator with independent movements for a double combined rotation, the Planex System today represents the more advanced drying technology on the market, especially suitable for the production of API and fine chemicals.

Italvacuum implements an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System that covers all aspects of the company’s work, from design and production of each individual component to customer service. In addition, given the importance of welding to end product quality, Italvacuum has certified its processes and personnel to ISO 3834-2.

Thanks to the monitoring of the quality of the entire production cycle, the Italvacuum vacuum dryers and vacuum pumps comply with the main CE, ATEX, PED European Directives and with the more and more strict FDA standards and cGMP rules.
