Vacuum drier for industries manufacturing fine chemicals and API

A vacuum drier is a plant used in chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries that allows to dry wet powders and dense cakes coming from filtration and centrifuge processes.
For this purpose a vacuum drier is always coupled with a vacuum pump that permits to intake and extract solvents vapours and water present in the products to be treated.

There are different types of vacuum drier.

Italvacuum, a private limited company founded in 1939, besides industrial vacuum pumps, designs and manufactures static driers with cabinet shape and inner shelves and rotary driers. These last can be both biconical and cylindrical.
The vacuum drier with double cone shape represents the bottonhole flower of the Italvacuum drying technology. Equipped with electric lump-breakers in order to obtain fine powders, this type of vacuum drier, named CRIOX System, has gained an international success during the years: there are more than 400 units installed from its introduction up to date

The vacuum drier with cylindrical shape, named TUMBLE Dryer, is chiefly used for drying, mixing and condensing operations in the manufacture of granulated plastic materials.

The approach to innovation that has always characterized Italvacuum drying technology has recently brought to the launch of a new vacuum drier: the Planex System, patented horizontal paddle drier. Thanks to the adopted technical solutions, among which the eccentric agitator with independent movements for a combined double rotation, Planex System represents the vacuum drier with the highest technological content today present on the market, being particularly suitable for the production of fine chemicals and APIs.
